Bifröst is the rainbow bridge that connects Midgard, the world of men, and Asgard, the realm of the gods. In Norse mythology, Bifröst is guarded by the god Heimdall.

Helheim, also one of the nine worlds, is the land of the dead. In Norse mythology, Helheim is called Hel, which is also the name of the goddess who rules it. Those who die ingloriously, from disease or of old age, as well as those who have broken an oath, end up in Helheim.

Also known as the world tree or "Tree of Life," Yggdrasil is a tree of titanic proportions that binds the nine worlds of Norse mythology together.
